Silverlight was Microsoft’s alternative to Flash and Microsoft announced that they were to discontinue and stop active development on Silverlight. Microsoft didn’t create an Uninstaller app for removing Silverlight, to remove Silverlight you need to manually delete files. Open Finder, type CMD+Shift+G, then enter path. AMAZON Prime VIDEO no longer shows on MacBook Pro - unless - I install Windows SILVERLIGHT. I am trying to determine if SILVERLIGHT is compatible with El Capitan OS. AMAZON Prime says there are some retry's if the Safari browser won't immediately function after SILVERLIGHT install. Silverlight only takes up 409 KB of space on your hard drive. Upgrade to El Capitan and then test whether you need it or not for Netflix. I was thinking about upgrading to El Capitan. Silverlight for ipad.

On Windows Longhorn Guest Additions does not install, it fails at driver installing. Tested on build 4074 and 4093. Manual driver installation installed just some drivers, not all. Longhorn is very close to Windows XP and can use drivers from XP or Vista. Can anyone please fix Guest Additions for Longhorn 4074? Microsoft Windows Longhorn is initially operated under the tag of Windows XP and considerably known as Microsoft Vista. The free download is believed to be a standalone ISO installer with access to both 32 bit and 62-bit architecture.

Hi all,
I've recently downloaded two Omega 13 builds (namely 3790.1232 and 5001) to try them out, but I can't install them.
The two builds actually give different errors while installing:
- build 3790.1232 works fine until the GUI setup begins, then gives me an error (I haven't got any screenshots of it) complaining about expired certificates or something;
- build 5001 refuses to install, giving a blue screen of death just after loading basic drivers and an 'INVALID_BOOT_DEVICE' error code.
Do note that I use VirtualBox, BIOS dates were changed and earlier Longhorn builds (such as build 4074) have always worked fine on Oracle's software.
I don't know if it's relevant, but the virtual machine with build 3790 was configured to run with Windows Server 2003 settings (i.e. IDE hard disk), whereas the other was set to be a Windows Vista virtual machine (just like the one I used to have with Longhorn 4074).
Can anybody help me, please?
Thanks in advance,
Win7

The expired certificates would be a sign of bios date problem.
I would verify that you a) set the correct date and b) the bios times actually took. VBox has a history of attempting to resync bios dates regardless of whether you set it or not.
But you do say you've managed to get 4074 to run.
As for 5001, VBox may have set the hard disk to IDE but not the cdrom. Verify that setting.

OK, so I took a look at the settings and it turned out I was doing it wrong from the very beginning, because I used the command to change the BIOS date with the wrong syntax so that the BIOS date actually went sixteen years forward instead of backward.
Anyway, I want to thank @yourepicfailure for the precious help!
