OneDrive is a cloud storage platform from Microsoft. While it boasts plenty of storage space and ease of use, it has a few issues that prevent it from supplanting Google Drive.

Is there a better alternative?

Yes. Google Drive is compatible with more file types. It also has a cheaper subscription option compared to OneDrive, in addition to its free option. SyncDrive is better than both with its syncing; however, it is significantly more expensive.

Our take

While OneDrive is a good option when you primarily use Microsoft, it fails when it comes to total compatibility. It’s decent at what it does and has a lot of available options, but it has a complicated setup process.

Should you download it?

No. There are other, better applications. This likely won’t be useful for you unless your company or school uses Microsoft Office.
